HOT: Temperature Rising Collection by MAC

 

Nu ook in België het kwik ongeziene hoogten bereikt, lijkt het mij uiterst gepast jullie mijn nieuwste aanwinsten uit Mac's Temperature Rising Collection voor te stellen. De zwoele bronskleurige verpakkingen trokken meteen mijn aandacht. Om het met Paris Hilton te zeggen: That's hot!

As temperatures are finally rising here in Belgium, it seems appropriate to show you my purchases from Mac's Temperature Rising collection. First off: the packaging of this collection is simply exquisite. The sultry bronze rubberized packaging looks 'hot', which was the whole idea I guess.

Vooreerst trakteerde ik mezelf op een lipstick met de naam Caliente. Ik beken dat mijn lipstick keuzes tot voor kort vaak weinig avontuurlijk waren. Ik ging meestal voor een neutrale rozige kleur, zeker niets opvallends - in het diepst van mijn gedachten ben ik een grijze muis, weet u. Sedert ik voor een event (jawel, een dresscode qua lippenstift, ik verzeker u: het bestaat!) een knalrode lipstick aanschafte (Lady Danger, ook al Mac), is het hek evenwel van de dam. Caliente is namelijk een dazzle lipstick -voor de Mac-leken onder u: dat betekent met heel veel glitter-, het soort waarvan ik voorheen ver uit de buurt bleef. Maar ik ben dol op deze diepe plummy bronzen kleur. Sparkle all the way!

I got myself a dazzle lipstick, called Caliente. Up until recently my lipstick choices were rather unadventureous. I used to go for neutral rozy shades, nothing that really stood out. However, a while ago I bought a bright red lipstick (Lady Danger, also by Mac) for an event having 'red lips and high heels' as a dress code -yes, it's a strange world we live in. Ever since I went for very 'in yoy face' shades of lipstick. Caliente is a dazzle lipstick (this means having tons of glitter in it), a Mac finish I had never even considerd buying. But...I simply love Caliente and its deep plummy bronze colour. With sparkle aplenty, it's really something different.

Wegens uitverkocht in de winkel, kocht ik dit oogschaduw palet online. Het heet Bare My Soul en het is een toppertje zeg ik u! Met Friendly en Romantico bevat het twee neutralere en uiterst draagbare tinten. Romantico is een lichte taupe, Friendly een diepe chocoladebruine kleur. Het gouden Bare My Soul is een perfecte zomerkleur in combinatie met een licht gebruinde teint. Het pièce de résistance vind ik echter When in Rio. De kleur is echt heel bijzonder: een zwarte basis, die in het juiste licht prachtig diepgroen reflecteert.

 

Since it was sold out in store, I ordered this eyeshadow quad online. It's called Bare My Soul and it's stunning! It contains two very wearable neutrals: Romantico is a light taupe, whilst Friendly is a deep chocolate brown colour. The golden Bare My Soul is perfect to compliment a sun kissed skin. But the real showstopper of this palette is obviously the gorgeous When In Rio: a black and deep green duochrome.
