Shopping for charity = double win!

Whilst shopping I sometimes find myself wondering: "Do I really need this stuff?" *major buzzkill* Hmm, define 'need'... Luckily there is a magic formula to appease one's conscience: "It's for a good cause!". Saving the world through shopping, sounds pretty appealing doesn't it? It just so happens that the two latest additions to my make-up collection both serve a very worthy cause.

O.P.I PINK OF HEARTS 2012

Pink of Hearts 2012 duopack - 27 euros

You Glitter Be Good to Me). Behoorlijk in your face maar erg geslaagd!

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and my favourite nailpolish brand O.P.I. has released a limited-edition Pink of Hearts duo of polishes. The set includes a soft and creamy bubblegum pink (I Think in Pink) and You Glitter Be Good To Me, which contains fine and chunky pink glitter. Rather bold colours but oh so pretty. Not a fan of pink? Not to worry. For every O.P.I. product sold in October at Planet Parfum, one euro goes to breast cancer research.

M.A.C VIVA GLAM V

Life can be sweet!

And I just kept on giving! I bought my first ever MAC lipstick last week, in their brand new shop in the Brussels' rue Dansaert. The Viva Glam V lipstick is a dusty pink sheer lipstick with a bit of shimmer (for MAC connaisseurs - it's the 'lustre' finish). Subtle glamour for day-to-day use. However, the best is yet to come! Every cent of the selling price of the Viva Glam collection is donated to the MAC AIDS Fund to support men, women, and children living with HIV and AIDS. It’s like you make a contribution to a worthy cause, and they give you a free lipstick to say thanks. Definitely my kind of charity!

NEXT UP: PLUMPED UP PINK CHUBBY STICK?

Mother Theresa better watch out, 'cause I just spotted Clinique's Limited Edition Plumped Up Pink Chubby Stick. For every Chubby Stick sold (price about 19,45 euros) 3,65 euros is being donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

Are you up for some philantropic shopping? xox
